Lottery in Trouble For Telling People to Gamble More
Throughout the entire world gambling is looked down upon, if you spend time gambling then people look at you in a funny way like you have done something wrong.
But then you see the same people visiting the shop and purchasing scratch cards or buying lottery tickets a nothing is said. The lottery in my judgement is the worst out and out risk that you can potentially take. You have more chance of being struck by lightning than winning the lottery, whereas other games such as poker take skill to master.
Its amazing that only recently the lottery has been criticized by the watchdog for encouraging excessive gambling. The lottery are said to have sent out an email to all of their account users which basically says "The more you play the more likely you are to win." It also added: "Give yourself even more of a chance by playing multiple lines at once and playing for the Saturday and Wednesday draws."
But really what is so different from this and the way that they usually promote all over the internet and TV? A good example of this is when we have a Euromillions roll over. You are constantly seeing adverts that show you the jackpot and try to convince you to buy a ticket.
Personally I do not think that there is anything wrong with this all, humans are not robots and whatever they see they do not just go and buy. People have their own minds and if they are going to be influenced and believe that the more you play the more you will win, then that is up to them.
