Smokeless gun powder and alcohol?
I am doing experiments with caseless ammunition and have one question so far.
I am trying to form some old gunpowder I have laying around into a solid form. This stuff is 50 year old Turkish gun powder I removed from DUD 8mm Mauser rounds. If I mix it with alcohol and pour it into a mold, will it form a solid clump and still be able to burn?
I don't see how it is dangerous.... it is no different than burning a pile of gunpowder on the ground. If anything it will be safer since it will probably burn slower.
I am not adding a projectile at this stage of developement.
My guess is that it would burn. Please do these experiments outside of your house and make sure that your life insurance is paid up. You are on a fool's errand.
