Which espresso maker will last us a lifetime?
Just now we have a stove top mocca maker, which is lovely.
However, when we were in Italy on our honeymoon my husband became really interested in actual espresso makers (not the pod type) and I'd like to buy him one as a birthday or anniversary present sometime this year.
But I don't want something I'll be throwing away in 5 years time. I want something which will not only last us all our days, but will make amazing coffee.
What has worked for you? Will you let me know? I hope so!
I have a machine from Saeco, which works very well, although it was expensive (£400). It will probably only last ten years at the maximum and so, to answer your question, the best one for you would be one without any moving parts which sounds like the one you currently have.
