i would like to know a bit about the history of a coffee percolator i have. does anyone have any clues?
i have a coffee percolator that was made in italy and i would like to know some more about it. on the bottom, it says crusinallo, and on the side, it says morenita. i would like to know about the company, and/or the age. it does say 1890 inside, but i don't know whether that is the age or not. does anyone know anything?
This may be of help:
Bialetti Household Coffee Machines & Equipment
From the beginning of 1950's till today, Alfonso Bialetti S.p.A. of Crusinallo has manufactured over 200 million coffee makers.
The inspiration behind Alfonso Bialetti's first creation was an early washing machine comprising of a boiler and tub for the collection of hot water. It was on the basis of this principle that Alfonso developed the Moka with its unmistakable octagonal shape, as described by Renato Bialetti who took over the business from his father, best remembered in the words of Renato himself as the "little fellow with the moustache".
The Bialetti range today is divided between the production of traditional coffee makers (the Moka and new steel models characterized by the same reliable construction and excellent coffee production) and electric coffee machines.
In this way Alfonso Bialetti confirms its leadership and ability to respond to market demands with expert solutions based on advanced technology and innovative design, which combined, translate into excellent product performance.
