Should I get a capacitor for the amps in my car?
A friend of mine told me i should probably get a capacitor to save my car battery, but that was when he thought I hooked up my 3rd amp.
Right now I have 2 sets of JL 5.25" speakers with the .75" tweeters, 2 JL 6W3v3 mini subs, and 1 JL 13W3v3 sub. The 13W3 is hooked up to a JL 500/1 (the original). The 2 sets of component speakers are hooked up to the front channels of a JL 300/4, while the 2 6W3s are connected to the rear channels, since they all are rated for 75W RMS. The 500/1 also has the gain lower, and isn't using 500 or even 400W.
I installed another amp that can played the 6W3s a little louder, with around 100 to the 125W peak RMS, but I haven't installed all the cables yet.
If I don't install the cables and just keep the 300/4 and 500/1, should I get a capacitor, and if so, how strong?
And what if I do decide to hook the 3rd amp up?
Thanks
Oh, and all the speakers are 4ohm.
No just buy a Kinetik battery to set in your trunk and run your amps off of that. An extra battery is a way better idea than a cap.
